British authors come to visit

On Monday 6th February we welcomed Sally Grindley and Peter Utton to our school. They have worked together as an author and illustrator to create books such as 'Shhh!', 'Knock, Knock, Who's There?' and 'Help!'.

They held workshops for the CE2, right up to the CM2. Sally showed us how she develops her ideas into stories and Peter talked about his process of illustrating books.

We listened to a great reading of 'Shhh!' by Sally and then created our own character which Peter drew using our ideas. We even got a sneak preview of their new book which is coming out in September 2017!
